Trauma-Informed Therapy

In-Person & Virtual Therapy Across California

About the Therapist

Welcome! I’m Cindy Way, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I created this practice from the belief that healing is not only personal—it is generational. The work we do together has the power to shift patterns, restore connection, and create meaningful change that extends beyond the individual.

I’m so glad you’re here.

My work is not only rooted in clinical training, but in lived experience. As someone who has navigated complex trauma, internal battles, and moments of deep uncertainty, I understand what it means to rebuild—slowly, intentionally, and with care. I also hold a deep awareness of what it means to move through the world with different abilities, and to exist within layered identities—including my own relationship with Asian culture, heritage, and the unspoken dynamics that can live within family systems. These experiences have shaped how I see people—with nuance, with respect, and without assumption.

My journey has been one of learning how to shift my inner world—to soften survival patterns, to cultivate inner peace, and to transform the relationship I have with myself and with others. Because of this, I don’t just understand healing intellectually— I hold it with depth, compassion, and reverence.

To me, Lineage Wellness is deeply personal. It’s not just a name—it’s a reflection of how I understand healing. It speaks to the quiet awareness that so much of what we carry didn’t begin with us. The ways we relate, the ways we protect ourselves, the ways we hold pain in our bodies—these often come from stories that were never fully processed, spoken, or supported.

Lineage Wellness represents the choice to gently turn toward those patterns, not with blame, but with compassion. To become more aware of what we’ve inherited—and to decide, with intention, what we want to keep and what we’re ready to release. It’s about honoring where we come from, while also creating space for who we are becoming.

My Approach

Therapy with me is an invitation to slow down, to listen more deeply, and to begin understanding yourself in a way that feels compassionate, not critical.

My approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, which means I pay close attention not only to your thoughts and emotions, but also to your nervous system, your lived experiences, and the patterns that may have been carried across time.

At Lineage Wellness, we honor the understanding that healing is not just individual—it is connected to the stories, relationships, and experiences that have shaped you.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the emotional impact of chronic illness and pain—especially when living in a body can feel unpredictable, overwhelming, or misunderstood.

Together, we gently explore the deeper layers of your experience—your story, your relationships, and your internal world—while also building practical tools to support you in your day-to-day life.

I value creating a space that is:

  • Grounded and non-judgmental

  • Culturally aware and inclusive

  • Collaborative, not prescriptive

  • Gentle, yet honest and growth-oriented

Therapy with me is not about rushing the process or forcing change.
It’s about moving at a pace that feels safe, intentional, and meaningful for you. Because healing isn’t just about getting through something—
it’s about changing your relationship with yourself along the way.

At its core, this work is about reconnecting—with your body, your voice, and your sense of self.

Your story isn’t finished, it’s about to get powerful. You don’t have to navigate it alone.
